Christmas Card

I stumbled upon a blog where this lady decorated her scrao lay-outs with two or three ribbons tied toghether with another ribbon.
This gave me the great idea to try it out for myself. I just adoooore this way of using ribbons. I'm sorry I didn't discover it earlier and that I didn't came up with the idea. Haha. This is why I love nosing around in the world of the wide web.
I used some stickles on the hat of Henry and decorated the cookie with some green gems.
Don't you just want to bite that cookie too?

If I keep up this pace, I will have some Christmas cards left after this year's Christmas is over. LOL

Christmas Cards

Making Christmas Cards while it is still snowing outside. It makes you get into the mood.
Don't mind the pink thingy on the bottom. It's a way to make my cards stay on my magnetic board. This way I can make better quality pictures.

I coloured my Whiff of joy stamp (I just adore all Henry Mouse stamps, I have a big collection of them) with my Copic Markers. Damn, it was difficult! But very amusing to do :)

I raffled the brown papers from a special stack that's called 'Chocolate stack'. Doesn't it just makes you melt away and have a great craving for chocolates? LOL. It's made especially so you can tear, sand, ... the paper so the core colour will appear.

Baby It's cold outside!

Bij Double Dutch is er het thema: BABY IT'S COLD OUTSIDE. Yeah baby! Goed thema voor deze tijd van het jaar. Inspiratie genoeg om TWEE kaartjes te maken in dit thema. Geladen met een nieuwe lichting Whiff of Joy stempels, nieuw scrappapier en een goed humeur slaagde ik er in geen tijd in om deze kaartjes te maken. You like :)

At Double Dutch they have the next theme challenge: BABY IT'S COLD OUTSIDE. Yeah baby! Nice theme to fit this time of year. I had enough inspiration to make TWO cards for this theme. Packed with a new load of Whiff of joy stamps, new scrapbook paper and a great mood I succeeded to make these cards in no time. You like :)

Some new challenges

Aha! Hier ben ik weer. Ondanks mijn slaaptekort heb ik me gisteren nog eens aan mijn bureau gezet en ben er in geslaagd om een kaartje te maken, dat kan meedoen aan... jawel.. drie (!) challenges!
Hier gaan we:
1. Sketch saturday. De naam zegt het zelf.. Ik gebruikte hiervoor de schets, waaraan een ge-wel-di-ge prijs is verbonden. Kon ik mijn purple cow snijder nog eens bovenhalen. Door een foutje van mezelf (had het papier omgedraaid en toen het papier gesneden zoals op de schets stond) heb ik hem omgedraaid, maar ik blijf het resultaat geslaagd vinden.
2. A spoon full of sugar. Opnieuw, geweldige prijs die bestaat uit twee stempels en nog wat ditjes en datjes. Ow, natuurlijk. Je wilt weten wat de opdracht was? Hier moesten we swirls gebruiken. Op de stempel die ik gebruikte, staan een aantal swirls. Het zijn er niet zo'n grote, maar hey.. swirl is swirl hé?
3. Saturday challenge. Eerste keer dat ik hieraan meedoe, maar hier was de uitdaging: spots and stripes. Het papier aan de rechterkant bevat streepjes en mijn bloemetje bevat lekker veel bolletjes, dus check en check. Nooit gedacht dat ik zoveel challenges met één kaart zou kunnen combineren!

Aha! Here I am again. Although I have an acute problem of too little sleep, I managed to put myself at my desk to make another Christmas card, that can enter in ... yes, you're reading it wright.. three (!) challenges!
1. Sketch saturday. Fab sketch, linked with a fab prize! I finally got my purple cow out of my drawers again (nearly forgot I even had them!). I made a little mistake by turning over the paper and then cutting it like the sketch, so I had to reverse the sketch, but you're allowed to do that so no prob there.
2. A spoon full of sugar. Again, fab prize (two stamps and some ornaments!) for a fab challenge, that was to use swirls. In my stamp there are a couple of swirls. Not too much and not too big, but hey.. swirl is swirl, right?
3. Saturday challenge. First time I enter this challenge, but over there the challenge is: dots and stripes. Well, striped paper on the right, check. Dots: on the flower: check. So I'm ok for this one too..
Never thought I would be able to manage three challenges with just one card :)

Blue Winter Wishes

Dit kaartje maakte ik voor de blog 'Winter Wonderland'. Het thema is: 'blue and every shade of it'. Hoewel ik de meeste kerstkaartjes in de traditionele kleuren groen en rood maakte, bevalt blauw me veel beter. Om het kaartje nog een beetje op te vrolijken, kleurde ik de hoed van de kerstman in met Stickles en gaf ik een beetje 'bling' aan de knopen.
Omdat ik tegenwoordig helemaal verslaafd ben aan het versieren van de binnenkant en ik nog een hoop 'scraps' over had, was er geen reden om me tegen te houden.
Tegelijkertijd maakte ik nog een tweede (blauwe) kaartje, maar dat ben ik nog aan het afwerken. Foto's volgen nog.

This is the card I made for 'Winter Wonderland'. The theme is: 'blue and every shade of it'. Allthough I made the most of my Christmas cards in the colours green and red, I like the colour blue so much more (maybe because it's my favourite colour hehe). To cheer things up, I coloured a piece of the head with Stickles and I added a little bit of 'bling' to the buttons.
Because I'm totally addicted to decorating the inside of my cards right now, and I had a whole bunch of scraps let, I couldn't be stopped.
At the same time I made another (blue) card, but I'm still finishing this. Pictures will be posted later on.

Woops

Dit kaartje heb ik al een tijdje liggen. Ik had het eigenlijk gemaakt voor Sketch Saturday (nog VOOR de schets er op stond, maar hij leek er zoooo veel op), maar was het zelfs vergeten in te scannen. Toen ik de site terug bekeek, had ik door dat ik het er nog niet had opgezet. Woopsie...

I had this card lying around for a while nog. I actually made it for Sketch Saturday (even BEFORE the sketch was on the site, but it ressembled it soooo much), but I forgot to scan it. When I looked back at the side, I figured out that I didn't put it on my blog. Woopsie...

Na een daguitstap naar Wijnegem Shopping Center kreeg ik van mijn moeder het leukste papier en hele leuke stempels in het kerstthema. Ookal is het nog lang geen kerst, je kan je voorraad nooit vroeg genoeg bij elkaar hebben. Toen ik thuis kwam, kreeg ik er weer helemaal zin in en dit is het resultaat.

After a day of shopping in Wijnegem Shopping Center I got the cutest paper from my mom, together with a lot of stamps in the Christmas theme. Even though Christmas is still far away, it's never too early to get your supplies together. When I got home, I immediately got started and this is the result!

Nee, ik ben nog niet gek geworden. Ik weet dat ik de seizoenen allemaal een beetje door elkaar aan het gooien ben, kan je nooit vroeg genoeg beginnen aan je kerstkaartjes. En omdat het nog steeds lente is, een kerstkaartje in vrolijke lentekleurtjes.
De strook die rechts staat, heb ik zelf gestempeld.

No, I haven't gone mad ... yet. I know I'm mixing up the seasons, but you can never start early enough with your Christmas Cards. And because it is still spring, here's a Christmas card in cheerfull spring colours.

Sketch Saturday

Jaja, ik ben bezig geweest, maar gewoon ff geen zin gehad om alles op mijn blog te zetten. Bij 'Sketch Saturday' moesten we een schets volgen. Ik heb er ineens een kerstkaartje van gemaakt, zodat ik niet begin te panikeren in december. De schets is redelijk simpel, maar hij is zo veelzijdig. Ik ga hem zeker nog gebruiken!

Yes yes, I've been busy, but I was a bit too lazy to put everything on my blog. At 'Sketch Saturday' we had to follow a sketch. I made a Christmas card from it, so I don't start to panic in december (we all know the feeling). The sketch is a relatively easy one, but he's so versatile. I'm definitely using it again!

Een kerstkaartje in vrolijke kleurtjes.
De stempel heb ik geëmbost met groen embossingpoeder en verwarmd met mijn heat gun. Voor de rest veel splitpennen gebruikt en gekleefd op goed geluk!

A lot of splitpen use and further... glueing at own risk! :)

Een echte scrapkaart. Deze kaart heb ik gemaakt met enkel restjes papier die ik nog overhad van andere kaarten. De stempel heb ik ingekleurd met Derwent potloden.

De raden van de stempel heb ik gestempeld met distress inkt, net zoals de bovenste rand.
De stempel zelf heb ik gekleurd met Derwent potloden.

I coloured the edges of the stamp with distress ink, just like the upper border.
