WOYWW

First of all I would like to thank everyone of you that left a comment last week and congragulated me on passing my drivers exam. It really is so much fun being able to get everywhere, allthough I still need to learn a lot (how to remember streets and stuff LOL)

Now on to WOYWW. (If you STILL have absolutely no clue what I'm talking about after all those WOYWW, please take a look at Julia's blog, there are a lot of other desks you can snoop around, including her own :))

Okay, I admit it! I can't do messy. I really really tried and this is the most of a mess I can come up with. But... heads up for all the people who CAN do messy, I really admire them! But for me... I think I need to change my WOYWW badge from Rambler to Overly Neat Freak or something :)

Since there isn't really much going on at my desk, I decided to give you a look at my (yet again organised) scrap map. Now that I have vacation-time, I gave it a go to take all my lost scraps and organise them colour-coded. It's a fab system!! I love it!!! I have used so many scraps and almost didn't use any new papers. Okay maybe a few but always combined with some left-overs from my scrap-map.

And this is the card I made in that neat-space over in my room.
With this card, I would like to participate in the Whiff of Joy challenge, where you need to follow a sketch, made by Bev. Go over to the Wiff of Joy challenge blog if you want to know more. There's an awesome prize to win: the Fun in the Sun KIT.

Thanks for looking and leaving all those wonderfull comments. I will be round your blogs later this week, because I will be going to Océade today. It's a big swimming pool, including 11 slides. I'm really looking forward to it!! I've been begging my boyfriend for about a half year now, so now that he has two weeks off from work, we can finally go!! Have a nice WOYWW day yourselves!

You have the key to my heart

I've managed to create a card. I started to miss making them after altering those items :)
I still had this Magnolia image hanged up on my magnetic board, coloured and everything, so I HAD to make a card with it.
Took some papers from my scrap map and ta-daa, here's the card.

Added some ribbons, charms and pearls and the card was finished.

Challenge I would like to participate in:
Pollycraft Monday ~ Love and Marriage

Card recipe
Stamp ~ Magnolia
Colour medium ~ Copic Markers
Papers ~ Cardstock and papers from Action
Extra ~ Ribbon, pearls

Whiff of Joy DT Call #2

Just a quick post here.
Today is the last day to participate in the Whiff of Joy DTcall.
I had this box but it was all worn out, so decided to alter it. That's what I love about altering... When something is ready to throw away you are able to fix it up to give it new life.
So here it is...

This is the front, together with the upper side.

Here you can see the front in full view. I stamped the Whiff of Joy image and cutted her out. She was blowing away hearts, but I decided to cut those out too and putted some butterflies instead, so it looks like she's blowing away butterflies.
And as a final touch, I've used some Flower Soft so it looks like she's doing it in the grass.

Here's the back, in the butterfly theme again.

I didn't want to use DP here, so I've distressed all the edges and then stamped some swirl stamps over it.

And here's the side (both left and right are the same) with some punched out butterflies and some pearls added.

I hope you like my little altered box. Thanks for looking!

Winter wonderland Designer in the Spotlight!!

Oh my lord! I can't hardly believe it! I have been asked as a 'Designer in the Spotlight' at --> Winter Wonderland <-- It's a great challenge blog that gets you uber-prepared for Christmas arrival. This week, the challenge was a sketch and what a sketch! First I thought it looked a bit odd, but it was REALLY worth trying, because I really like how it looks when you start playing with all of those circles.

And here's my card:
By the way... What do you think of my selfmade background behind the stamp and the sentiment? It was made using Versamark, embossing powder and my heat tool. Really gives me a 'Christmas feeling'

Go check out the Winter Wonderland Challenge blog to go and have a look at all the other wonderfull creations of the DT. You won't be dissapointed!

Card recipe: Stamp ~ Whiff of Joy Colour medium ~ Copic Markers and Stickles!! Papers ~ DCWV (The Christmas Stack) (The Mat Stack) and some selfmade background papers Extras ~ Rose buds, selfmade flower leafs using the Nellie Snellen punch, pearls and eyelets Flowers ~ Prima Flowers

Upside down and inside out WOYWW

This is how my desk looks now... TOTALLY CLEAN!! And absolutely nothing going on! Go over to Julia's blog to see desks that look exactly the opposite of mine :)

However... I've been very busy this week!!!!

How you ask?

Well, first of all... I've been cleaning my room. LOL and this is the result off course. And for people who remember how it first looked... I've kind of rearranged everything. I've putted everything different like my title says. I've turned my drawers, my flowers and my lamps. Why? Because it's a bit boring if everything stays the same for too long.

Then...
I've been participating on the DT call on the Whiff of Joy blog (see last post on the explosion box) and then cleaned up again so my room looks like this again.

I've been participating in a lovely workshop getting to know all those different ink types a little bit better (hence the little book on the desk)

And and... *drum roll*

I've got my DRIVER's LICENSE!!! and I'm very proud of that!! Yipiieeeee!!

Okay rambling here :)

So... Here's another look inside my fishy drawers.

On the left you can see a lot of boxes filled with glitter powder, flowers and buttons.

And on the right a couple of Distress inks and Stickles, nothing all too fancy and special.

Found some flower soft in a shop here yesterday too, didn't know we had that in Belgium so me is one happy girl.

Thanks for looking at my overly neat desk. Promise to do better (read: more clutterly) next time.

So no card this week, but look very closely on Friday, because then I will have a special reveal... * goes away in smoke *

Whiff of joy DT call

It's the 16the of the second month and this means... Whiff of Joy is having their DT call again!! I never miss one now that I own this AMAZING stamps!! Go check out Katharina's blog --> HERE <-- to find out 'which responsibilities and privileges await you' if you get chosen.

The theme is to make SOMETHING for summer using at least one Whiff of Joy stamp. I decided not to make a card, but a box...

An EXPLOSION box. The above picture shows you how the box looks if it is opened.

And here's a little twist. You can turn it inside out, so that nice stamp from the Happy Mail collection greets you on your desk.
Doesn't it look like she's writing a love letter to someone in the green grass of a parc with the sun all around her? I love my box!

And here you can see one of the sides. I stamped some flowers on a cardstock sheet and embossed them with green, to match my papers.

I'm setting a challenge for myself too... I'm going to try to make one thing a day for this DT call (except for the weekend, because then I don't have a lot of time LOL). As I don't own very much 'summer' stamps, it will be a challenge indeed to see what I come up with!

Thanks for taking a look at my creation and do go over to the Wiff of Joy blog and store, because there are some amazing things to be seen and sold!!

Explosion box recipe:
Papers ~ They were all from my scrap map, so no idea about most of them :)
Stamp ~ Whiff of Joy and clear flowers from??
Ribbon ~ Action
Extra ~ Green embossing powder together with my heat tool

WOYWW

Hello there! Let's jump right into it. This is how my lovely desk looks this week:

Like this!

And this... from another angle. My desk spread with flowers. Love it!

Each week I get lovely comment about my fishy drawers, so here's a little peek inside the biggest drawer:
Filled with ribbons, some flowers and oh yeah, some more ribbons!

And if ever in need for some more ribbons, then I have this to play with...
And you thought I was only "eyelet-organised" last week, hm?

Off course I can't let you all leave without taking a look at the card that made my desk looks like that... So here it is!

Oké then... Here's a little sneek peak.

And here's the card in his/her fullest.
I didn't want to add a lot of embellies, because I really wanted to make Henry Mouse pop.

I made this post as short as I could. Not bad for a WOYWW rambler huh? :)
Thanks for looking and leaving all those wonderfull comments. They are highly appreciated and I try to come back at each and every one of you!

Truly Scrumptious DT call

Go check out the Truly Scrumptious blog. They are having a DT call. Go there to find out about all the details.
In order to participate you have to place your favourite TWO pictures of pieces of artwork you made.
This is HARD!! Oké, sometimes you think a card looks better than an other one, but still... I have so many favourite pieces!

Anywayz... let's pick two. Here they are:

First: A boy's card, because they are always really hard to make and I really like the way this one turned out.

Go here for full details of the card:

And on the contrary: a really girly card, because I am a girl and I LIKE it! So occassionally you have to make a card to proof that LOL.
To find more details about the card go here.
I so have much more 'me-like-a-lot-cards', but then you'll just have to snoop around my blog.

I hope you've enjoyed looking. I sure enjoyed making them!

Summer is in town

Have you noticed it yet? I did! It's summer! And boy is it hot. Weatherforcast says next week is all about rain. Never thought I'd be glad with a little bit rain. You really have to stay indoors where you can put a fan on your face.

But hey, more time to craft then, don't ya? And this is what I've been up to in my craft room, playing with some nice stuff I bought over this week.

It has been a long time, but I actually had this idea in my head, not using a sketch or anything and I think it looks better on the card than in my head (well, that's a first), so what'd ya reckon?

Challenges I would like to enter:

1. Hanna and Friends / Unused stamps (I never used that stamp on a card before)
2. Simon Says Challenge / Photo Challenge (look at that blue paper and that blue blouse)
3. One Stop Craft Challenges / Distressing (I distressed all my edges)
4. Timbroscrapmania / Summer (I think this qualifies as summer :))

Card recipe:
Stamp ~ Whiff of joy (dûh)
Colour medium ~ Copic Markers and chalk (for the shadow), distress inks
Paper ~ Action
Extra ~ Stickles, butterfly punch and some pearls

WOYWW I'm baaaaack!

Finally! I've had the time to participate in WOYWW. And tadaa this is how my desk looks yesterday night before I started on my card.

And this is from another corner. See those stamps there divided in three parts? Well... Some of you might already know I'm a Whiff of Joy fan... These is my entire WOJ collection and YES, I AM proud of that! :D

It's not entirely crafting going on. I've started working on some stuff for my class next year, but crafting got in the way. LOL. I think you can relate to that, hm?

And here I store all of my eyelets. I bought this wonderfull boxes at a stamping convention and I still think I don't have enough storage room. Lucky for me there are two of those conventions a year, so I can always get back for more. :)

And here is a little sneek peak of my card that I finally made. You can already see that I've used some distressing and some Stickles, ok no a WHOLE lot of stickles (actually I slipped with my new bottle, but shhh don't tell my mom HAHA). I do love my selfmade flower there in the middle topped off with a white pearl.

And here is the finished card. I thank Marley for letting me know that they have cute paper in Action, so I went there and indeed, this is some of the cute paper they've got there.
I also used inspiration from a card that Janneke made, but I don't know where she got the sketch from.
So, I hope you've enjoyed my card and my scraproom. Sorry for the long post, but thanks for sticking with me and leaving all those lovely comments!

By the way... If you still don't know why I'm showing my desk every wednesday, please go over to the lovely blog of Julia Dunnit. You WILL get wiser there.

Card recipe:
Stamp ~Whiff of Joy
Colour Medium ~ Copic Markers, Distressing inks

Christmas in July!

I haven't posted for so long, and now two cards in one day. Woohoe!

At the Winter Wonderland blog there's the challenge of using punches. I have this amazing Christmas presents punch from Martha Stewart so I knew that this was the ideal punch for this occasion.

I took a stamp that I coloured ages ago. It's with a specifique technique, using embossing powder and your heat tool for three times and then you can crack your image up, just like it's glazing. Very pretty. Me like.

Today it is finally raining here. After our 35°C from yesterday, it really is a good thing. Finally some cold winds around here! So it is the perfect opportunity to get some other Christmas cards made, so for me... Christmas in July :)

I distressed the corners of my papers and used some amazing charms from Whiff of joy to top it off. I didn't think it needed much more decoration, as the card itself looks busy enough.

So in total I used THREE punches. Can you find them all??

Card recipe:
Stamp ~ Whiff of joy
Papers ~ Some scraps I had left, which includes: The Latte Stack and the Taj Mahal Stack and some cardstock
Charms ~ Whiff of joy
Extras ~ Ribbon and stars, clear embossing powder and my heat tool

Friday Sketchers

Today I am participating on a challenge blog again. I saw this amazing sketch on Friday Sketchers and I just knew I had to make a card with it!
I just bought some new copics, so this was the perfect chance to colour up this stamp again.

Really weird, but as you can see I tried taking this picture on different occasions and her dress always turns out blue, but I can assure you that it really is purple!

And here are some detail pictures of my card...

Thanks for looking and leaving your comments. I really appreciate them!!

Challenges I would like to enter:
1. Friday Sketchers / A sketch
2. Charisma Cardz Challenges! / Metal (I've used two metal charms)

Card recipe

Stamp ~ Magnolia and doodle stamps for the edges of the papers on the stamp
Papers ~ The Latte Stack and some CS
Colour Medium ~ Copic Markers
Embellies ~ Whiff of joy charms, a handmade flower
Flowers ~ ?
Extras: some leafs I punched out with a Nellie Snellen punch and one from Prima Flowers I think
