A white Christmas

My white mood... (isn't it boring you yet?) Had to make some easy and quick cards, so used my Cuttlebug templates again, stacked them on top of each other, using foam blocks.
I think this image is sooooo adorable and didn't want to colour it. Instead, I used Ice and Diamond Stickles to accent the snow.
A red ribbon, a text stamp wishing you a lovely Christmas and a lovely card was born.

Materials:
Stamp ~ Whiff of Joy and text stamp
Colour medium ~ none
Stickles ~ Ice and Diamond
Ribbon ~ Kruidvat
Extra ~ Cuttlebug, three templates and foam blocks

WOYWW

Let's barge in... this is how my craft room looks after making a lot of cards.

This is my craft room from another angle. Still full and cluttered.

And these are the cards I made. Sorry for the bad quality, but I made the pictures in the dark.

Now I'm off to reherse for my dance show, but if you want to see a whole lot of other tidy and untidy desks, you can always go to Julia Dunnit's blog.

Have a happy WOYWW!

Greetz,
**Evi**

Another quick card.
I'm really into my 'totally white cards' mood. Never had great inspiration to work with the colour white, but it's amazing how versatile you can go with three templates and a Cuttlebug.
Like I said, I used three templates in my Cuttlebug and stacked them on top of each other with foam blocks. Stamped an image in gold (it says: happy holidays), went around the corners with some Diamond Stickles and 'decorated' the snowflakes with a pinch of Ice Stickles. Done.

Materials:
Stamp ~ Christmas sayings
Colour Medium ~ Gold Black Box ink
Extra ~ Cuttlebug, Ice Stickles and Diamond Stickles, foam blocks
Templates ~ Snowflakes, Big Circles and Dots

Inspiration from an inspiration blog

Are you frantically panicing because you still need to make a bunch of Christmas cards?
I did this one under half an hour! Very very easy with the right supplies.
I took an image, stamped it with Versamark and sprinkled it with gold embossing powder. Gently heated with my heat gun and no colouring involved. (trust me, this technique is soooo much quicker, but you need to pick out your stamp carefully).
Punched out a loooooot of snowflakes out of my Christmas Stack paper from MME and glued them around the circle on which I stamped my image.
The corners of the page are done with the same gold embossing technique.
A quick and easy card. If you simply change the image and the paper you punch, you get a totally different result.

Materials:
Stamp ~ euhm, forgot sorry!
Colour medium ~ Versamark, gold embossing powder and heat gun
Punches ~ both by Pipoos
Paper ~ Christmas Stack by MME

Have a jolly holiday

Dear dear diary, I've been a bad bad girl (~Pink ~)

Sorry for being such a verrrry bad blogger lately.

However, I've been very busy! Not just making cards, but schoolwork, dance projects, you name it!

Here are two cards with the same idea, but completely different.
I drew a circle for both cards, punched out a whole bunch of snowflakes and butterflies and stamped my image in the centre (but a little bit to the right).
Oh, I love all my butterfly punches. Never was a big fan of punches until I discovered all the possibilities!

I decorated the inside of the 'jolly' card too, but totally forgot to photograph it. Dôh!

Materials:
Stamps ~ from a fair, so no idea what brand
Colour medium ~ Copic Markers
Punches ~
° big butterfly: Martha Stewart
° Small butterflies: all Pipoos
° Big snowflakes: Marianne design
° Small snowflakes: Pipoos

That's it! Easy huh?

A boy's card

Someone asked me if I could make a card for a birthday of a man! Damn, we all dislike this cards, don't we? No use of flowers, butterfly and pretty pinks.
But... I realised I still had a bunch of left-overs and a very handsome Oakley that I ordered from Whiff of Joy and in no time my absolute all-time favourite man card came alive.
Punched out a few circles, a see-through button and some ribbon. Perrrrfect.
Hope you like it.

Materials:
Stamp ~ Whiff of Joy
Colour Medium ~ Copic Markers
Papers ~ MME
Punch ~ round circle from Pipoos
Extra's ~ Button from MME, buttons, distressed some edges

Had my beautifull Damaske papers still lying at my desk and this image all coloured up. I got a whole new range of pretty flowers at the hobby fair, so it was the perfect occasion to try them out.
Hope you like my card.

I hope you like it.

Oh dear

I've been such a bad blogger lately. LOL.
That doesn't mean I haven't been busy.

It was my birthday last saturday and a collegue of mine is also a crafter. Not in the card-making business, but in the cake-making business.
I asked if she could create a cake for me. I told her I was a huge fan of pink and butterflies.
This is the creation she made. Isn't it the most beautifull cake you've ever seen?
I instantly fell in love with it!

As a thank you I made a notecard holder. And this is how it turned out...

I've used a 'Whiff of Joy'-image and my beautifull Damaske papers.
I used my Martha Stewart Punch, some flowers, pearls and Stickles to top it of.

Card recipe:

Stamp: Whiff of Joy
Colour medium: Derwent Pencils
Papers: The Best of Damaske
Flowers: ?
Extra: note holder, pearls, Stickles and gems
Punch: Butterfly punch, Martha Stewart (Doily Hearts)

Just a note

I just HAD to make a note holder with my gorgeous paper, that are now my favourites. Could make a 1000 cards only using my Damask papers LOL.
I thought the stamp was just perfect for doing this. Had the thought of 'going out' (in this case for a coffee) in my mind and well... I just love this stamp. Very fun to colour too.
Used my new swirl stamps on the edges of the stamped image, coloured with my Derwent pencils (falling in love again with my pencils) and no use of flowers. I ADORE my MS butterfly stamp and want to use it on every card now!! Me and butterflies...
Some pearls and gems, distressing the edges and I have a finished note holder.

Card recipe:
Stamp ~ Whiff of Joy / Willow with Coffee and euhm... some swirl stamps
Colour medium ~ Derwent pencils / Colourless terpentine / white gel pen
Punches ~ MS large butterfly / small butterfly punch
Stickles and stuff ~ Frosted Lace / Liquid Pearls
Extra ~ Pearls / gems / sticky notes / distressing tool
Paper ~MME / The best of Damask

A little bit of magic might help...

Been really enjoying scrapping again, and completely now I've FINALLY found the papers I've always wanted to work with.
Too bad I have to go back to work soon. Oh well, can't have holidays all year round can I?
Been preparing my classroom too and I am so eager to see the new kids faces again :)

Back to the card... Sorry about the quality, I photographed it under my window where a lot of light came through.
I used another Whiff of Joy image with a text from the Sentiment Collection, that fits this stamp perfect.
Used my fab MS punches again, Stickled a little bit, added some pearls, distressed the edges and my card was born.
Thought it would be fun if it looked as if she had pearls on her, so used my Liquid Pearls, which I think I'm becoming very good at! (If I say so myself :))

Card recipe:
Stamp ~ Whiff of Joy
Colour Medium ~ Derwent pencils, Distress ink
Flowers ~ from my stash, don't know what brand they are
Punches ~ MS / Doily hearts / Large butterfly punch
Extra ~ Pearls, liquid pearls

Christmas in the summer

Another card from me!!! Bought some yummy Christmas papers and couldn't wait to use them.
Allthough I still have some summer stamps waiting to be inked, I used this already coloured stamp. Not the best of my colouring, but I had it lying around allready :)
And with the temperatures here (it feels like fall here believe me!) it wasn't too hard to come up with a Christmas card.

I was rummaging through some text stamps and found this amazing sentiment that fits the card well.
I also made up for my non-Stickles-use from last time. LOL.
Not 100% happy with this card, but hey... At least I got creative again :)

Colour medium ~ Derwent pencils and colourless serpentine

I'm a sucker for red shoes

Got a little time to craft and came up with this card...

Decided to use my Derwent pencils again. It's been soooo long since I've used them and seeing all these details, I thought it would be better playing safe :) I also had more matching colours than my Copics LOL.
I'm starting to wonder why I didn't use Stickles here. Maybe I'll still add them...

I've followd the Sketch from Friday Sketchers, so would like to participate in the challenge:

WOYWW!

Totally completely forgot that it's Wednesday already (having so much vacation really makes your days go bizar).
So not so much going on at my desk this week. I had some papers ready, but then didn't know what to make with it (didn't feel much like doing a card, wanted to make another project) and left everything as it is.
But you can still see some new fresh Whiff of Joy stamps on the corner there, ready to be inked up!

I decided to let you give a look at my tote. I got it as a pressie from my mum FOR NO REASON what so ever. Great great! Don't know what to do without it any more (but still need to make it "my own" as you all now what I mean)

And this is a card I made for a friend of mine (Hi *Liv* *waving at ya girlie*) because I really miss her cards on her blog, so this is a 'heads up' card to make her feel better accompanied with some goodies that I allready gave to her yesterday, so it's fine to give it to her.

So, now you've taken a look at my desk. If you wonder what other people have going on at their desks this week, then be sure to stop at
Julia Dunnit's blog, where you can find all the details.

Oh and I really want to mention this: I finally made it through ALL the desks last week! (but now it feels like I've accomplished another goal in my life haha)
And I loved leaving comments on everyone's blog, but I really DON'T like WORD VERIFICATION!!! So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TURN IT OFF!!! Thank you :)

Have a lovely day!

Just a note

Ever wondered what to do with those beercards you've still got hidden somewhere in your stash?
Well, here's a fun little project.
Just make it into a perfect little gift, turning it into a memo holder.

As you can see, the notes will fit here perfectly.
All you need to do, is create the beercards at your liking, put holes in it with the Bind-it-all tool and put some metal rings in it. I bet you can do this without using the Bind-it-all tool too, put then you need to let your own creative juices flowing :)
With this fun little project I can enter a whole lot of challenges. These are:

Creative Inspirations ~Anything Goes

Cute Card Thursday ~ Texting Crazy

Dutch Dare Card Challenge ~ Anything Goes

Simple Doodles ~ Get out of the box

Stamp-n-doodle ~ Anything Goes

Paper Play Challenges ~ Anything Goes (I really love those anything goes challenges :))

Note recipe:
Stamp ~ Whiff of Joy Magic Sentiments Collection
Papers ~ Cardstock
Die Cuts ~ Nestabillities (Scalloped Oval Collection and another one :))
Also used embossing folder 'dots'
Flowers ~ Stash

WOYWW

First of all I would like to thank everyone of you that left a comment last week and congragulated me on passing my drivers exam. It really is so much fun being able to get everywhere, allthough I still need to learn a lot (how to remember streets and stuff LOL)

Now on to WOYWW. (If you STILL have absolutely no clue what I'm talking about after all those WOYWW, please take a look at Julia's blog, there are a lot of other desks you can snoop around, including her own :))

Okay, I admit it! I can't do messy. I really really tried and this is the most of a mess I can come up with. But... heads up for all the people who CAN do messy, I really admire them! But for me... I think I need to change my WOYWW badge from Rambler to Overly Neat Freak or something :)

Since there isn't really much going on at my desk, I decided to give you a look at my (yet again organised) scrap map. Now that I have vacation-time, I gave it a go to take all my lost scraps and organise them colour-coded. It's a fab system!! I love it!!! I have used so many scraps and almost didn't use any new papers. Okay maybe a few but always combined with some left-overs from my scrap-map.

And this is the card I made in that neat-space over in my room.
With this card, I would like to participate in the Whiff of Joy challenge, where you need to follow a sketch, made by Bev. Go over to the Wiff of Joy challenge blog if you want to know more. There's an awesome prize to win: the Fun in the Sun KIT.

Thanks for looking and leaving all those wonderfull comments. I will be round your blogs later this week, because I will be going to Océade today. It's a big swimming pool, including 11 slides. I'm really looking forward to it!! I've been begging my boyfriend for about a half year now, so now that he has two weeks off from work, we can finally go!! Have a nice WOYWW day yourselves!

I've managed to create a card. I started to miss making them after altering those items :)
I still had this Magnolia image hanged up on my magnetic board, coloured and everything, so I HAD to make a card with it.
Took some papers from my scrap map and ta-daa, here's the card.

Added some ribbons, charms and pearls and the card was finished.

Challenge I would like to participate in:

Whiff of Joy DT Call #2

Just a quick post here.
Today is the last day to participate in the Whiff of Joy DTcall.
I had this box but it was all worn out, so decided to alter it. That's what I love about altering... When something is ready to throw away you are able to fix it up to give it new life.
So here it is...

This is the front, together with the upper side.

Here you can see the front in full view. I stamped the Whiff of Joy image and cutted her out. She was blowing away hearts, but I decided to cut those out too and putted some butterflies instead, so it looks like she's blowing away butterflies.
And as a final touch, I've used some Flower Soft so it looks like she's doing it in the grass.

Here's the back, in the butterfly theme again.

I didn't want to use DP here, so I've distressed all the edges and then stamped some swirl stamps over it.

And here's the side (both left and right are the same) with some punched out butterflies and some pearls added.

I hope you like my little altered box. Thanks for looking!

Winter wonderland Designer in the Spotlight!!

Oh my lord! I can't hardly believe it! I have been asked as a 'Designer in the Spotlight' at --> Winter Wonderland <-- It's a great challenge blog that gets you uber-prepared for Christmas arrival. This week, the challenge was a sketch and what a sketch! First I thought it looked a bit odd, but it was REALLY worth trying, because I really like how it looks when you start playing with all of those circles.

And here's my card:
By the way... What do you think of my selfmade background behind the stamp and the sentiment? It was made using Versamark, embossing powder and my heat tool. Really gives me a 'Christmas feeling'

Go check out the Winter Wonderland Challenge blog to go and have a look at all the other wonderfull creations of the DT. You won't be dissapointed!

Card recipe: Stamp ~ Whiff of Joy Colour medium ~ Copic Markers and Stickles!! Papers ~ DCWV (The Christmas Stack) (The Mat Stack) and some selfmade background papers Extras ~ Rose buds, selfmade flower leafs using the Nellie Snellen punch, pearls and eyelets Flowers ~ Prima Flowers

Upside down and inside out WOYWW

This is how my desk looks now... TOTALLY CLEAN!! And absolutely nothing going on! Go over to Julia's blog to see desks that look exactly the opposite of mine :)

However... I've been very busy this week!!!!

How you ask?

Well, first of all... I've been cleaning my room. LOL and this is the result off course. And for people who remember how it first looked... I've kind of rearranged everything. I've putted everything different like my title says. I've turned my drawers, my flowers and my lamps. Why? Because it's a bit boring if everything stays the same for too long.

Then...
I've been participating on the DT call on the Whiff of Joy blog (see last post on the explosion box) and then cleaned up again so my room looks like this again.

I've been participating in a lovely workshop getting to know all those different ink types a little bit better (hence the little book on the desk)

And and... *drum roll*

I've got my DRIVER's LICENSE!!! and I'm very proud of that!! Yipiieeeee!!

Okay rambling here :)

So... Here's another look inside my fishy drawers.

On the left you can see a lot of boxes filled with glitter powder, flowers and buttons.

And on the right a couple of Distress inks and Stickles, nothing all too fancy and special.

Found some flower soft in a shop here yesterday too, didn't know we had that in Belgium so me is one happy girl.

Thanks for looking at my overly neat desk. Promise to do better (read: more clutterly) next time.

So no card this week, but look very closely on Friday, because then I will have a special reveal... * goes away in smoke *
