Cute Card Thursday

Oh my lord! It seemed to take me like... forever! to finish this card. I don't know why, but my papers didn't seem to match. It was the first time I used a metal charm and it wouldn't stick to the ribbon. I glued my ribbon to the wrong side. The card seemed to have 'something' missing...
I have the feeling that this is not my style of card-making for some odd reason, but when it WAS fi-nal-ly finished, I was pretty pleased with the result.
And using a metal charm for the first time, what'd you reckon? :)
With this card I can enter the 'Cute Card Thursday' challenge, since the challenge is to use SOMETHING metal on your card. Tadaa.

I used a Magnolia image. I had this idea in my head where the ribbon MUST be on the left side and this image fits very well, because the magniola image is facing the ribbon. Much better this way :)

Birthday present

I made this card with a stamp I got for my birthday. Because my collection of stamps is only growing and I have too many stamps (yeah, I just KNOW you have this problem too), it has taken me about three months to ink 'm up.
So, my friends, here's the card with the stamp :)
I don't know for which occasion I'm going to use it, since it's so versatile.

Cute Card Thursday

Eerst en vooral een gelukkig nieuwjaar en dat al je (scrap)wensen mogen uitkomen!

Om in het thema te blijven...

Toen ik al mijn restjes aan het wegleggen was, eindigde ik ermee met meer restjes uit mn enveloppe te halen dan er in te steken. Op tien minuten stak ik dit kaartje in elkaar (het inkleuren van de stempel niet meegerekend). Kan ik hem evengoed inzenden voor de challenge van
Je mag er een kaart maken in het thema dat jij wil!

Ze geven een hele leuke stempel weg. Ga dat uitchecken!

When I was putting away all my scraps, I ended up taking more scraps out of the enveloppe than I was putting in! I assembled this cards in just 10 minutes! (not counting the time to coloure the image). Now I'm sending it in for the challenge of
because you are allowed to make any card you want. And they are giving away such a cute stamp! Go check it out!

Sketch Saturday

Op de site van Sketch Saturday (http://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com) kan je kiezen uit de 30 sketchen om een kaartje te maken. Ik heb gebruik gemaakt van sketch #27.
Het stuk dat ik geëmbost heb, is met de cuttlebug gemaakt. Het onderste stukje moest normaal vierkant zijn, maar ik vond rond mooier staan :)

At the site from Sketch Saturday you could choose out of 30 sketches to make a card. I used sketch # 27.
The piece I embossed, was done with the cuttlebug. The piece on the bottom should be a square, but I thought a circle was more appropiate :)

What to do after making Christmas cards?

Een echte scrapkaart. Deze kaart heb ik gemaakt met enkel restjes papier die ik nog overhad van andere kaarten. De stempel heb ik ingekleurd met Derwent potloden.

A real scrapcard. I made the card only left over scraps from other cards. I coloured the card with Derwent pencils.

Ik wou eerst een kerstkaartje maken... Zo zie je maar dat de ideeën in je hoofd er op papier soms anders uitkomen :)

Christmas in brown

De raden van de stempel heb ik gestempeld met distress inkt, net zoals de bovenste rand.
De stempel zelf heb ik gekleurd met Derwent potloden.

I coloured the edges of the stamp with distress ink, just like the upper border.
The stamp itself was coloured with Derwent pencils.

Na lange tijd heb ik nog eens een kerstkaartje gemaakt.

Saray Kay

Saray Kay.. Blijft m'n lievelingsstempel. Eerste keer dat ik hem gekleurd heb. Valt beter mee dan verwacht :).

Saray Kay.. It still is my favourite stamp. First time I coloured it. Wasn't all too difficult :).
