What's on your workdesk Wednesday?

Hellow!
I've found a great new blog, where you are asked to take a picture of your workdesk on wednesday. It's great to look at all those people who are running their creative minds.
This week, I've decided to take part as well. I worked on a card yesterday and this is how my desk still looks after finishing my card.

This desk actually stands in my bedroom. I still live with my parents, so I can use my bedroom as a scraproom too.
It kinda looks tidy haha. The box on the right side with the blue lid is where I store my copics. The desks with all the drawers (looks like those hands are waving at you guys, hellow :-)) are not only for my scrapbooking supplies, allthough it be good space haha. But since I'm a girl, there are much things for my hair maintenance as well. LOL.

And off course I have to show you what I've done with all the papers that are laying on my desk...

So this is the card I made. And with this card I can enter a few challenges too. Who's multi-tasking now :)
I've tried something different to colour the dress of the dear princess. At first I didn't like it, but I didn't dislike it as well. So I decided to give it a go and glue it on my card and now I think it looks rather fine. Sometimes things come together hm...

I hope you've enjoyed looking!

Mother's day

Mother's day is approaching soon...
When I let my mother see the other box I made, she immediately asked if I could make one for her (oké, she practically demanded one), so I started crafting, since I had one box left.
I don't know for what she is going to use it, but I hope she will like it :)

This box is great for the 3D-challenge over at 'A spoon full of sugar'.
You can win a beautiful stamp and you can take a glance at all the wonderfull creations, because they are using InLink (I love this more than Mr. Linky where just the name appears).
Go check it out!

Materials:
Stamp: Whiff of joy
Papers: MME - Laundry Line
Flowers: Prima's, e-line, rose buds (?) and some leafs, I think they are Prima's as well
Charms: Whiff of joy
Some buttons

Magnolia sweet

I really like these papers from MME, they are so versatile! And I'm really into pink these days. I bought this wonderfull stamp and thought this paper would be perfect. I also got some yummy scrap goods from My Whiff of Joy (my favourites!).
I also did some paper piecing again, because I love the effect it has on this stamp!

With this challenge I can enter the 'anything goes' challenge from the Magnolia challenge blog.
Man, I would LOOOOOVE to win that prize! I probably would need a bigger room then, because I can't store so much yummy stuff!!!

I also used a sketch from 'Sketch Saturday'. I really like how much different things there can be made with just one sketch. No card is the same! Go check out the wonderful creations of the DT over there!

Materials:
Stamp: Magnolia
Paper: MME - laundry line (pink)
Flowers: Prima's and ... ?
Charm and headpins: Whiff of joy
Extra's: pearls, splitpens and leafs

Happy birthday!

My dad is celebrating his fifthiest birthday. On this occasion I made a birthday card fit for him. I used every party mouse from Whiff of Joy that I could imagine that was perfect for this.
I used a tutorial from the weblog of Whiff of Joy, a three window card or how do you call it :)
With this challenge I can enter the blog 'A spoon full of sugar' where the theme is 'Happy birthday'!
The card stands proudly in the living room right now :)

Crafting supplies:
Paper: Some MME, some things from a cardstock I really can't remember the name :)
Stamps: Henry Mouse from Whiff of Joy
Extra: ribbon to hold the card together and cardstock numbers

Double Dutch - A sketch

And here it is... Another card for another challenge. I'm still hoping to win one of them one day... Ow well, keep creating. I've got a whole lifetime in front of me :)

This one is for the Double Dutch Challenge. It was a hard one. You had to follow a sketch (which I loved) and it HAD to be a ROUND card. I'm not a huge fan of round cards, but now that I've discovered easel cards... It's great to use another shape. So... Mission accomplished :-)

The card is a bit small... I putted everything together to find out that no magnolia stamp would fit. But have no fear... Whiff of joy is here! If you place an order over €50, you get a free unique stamp. Was I glad that I've got this one. It suits my card so well.

A girly girly pic of my roses and pearls. I love those little rose buds!

Thanks for visiting!

Materials:
Stamp: whiff of joy
Paper: MME, cardstock, DCMV
Flowers: stash, e-line
Extra: pearls from my stash
Colours: Copics

Sugar and spice and everything nice!

I got so inspired by the creation of Barb (click --> here <-- for her blog) over at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge that I decided to alter a box too. That's why the DT is there for right, to make you get inspired? :)

Here are some close-ups from the box as I am very proud of my flowers and pearls!

Here you can see the box in it's original shape. Next to it is the box in it's altered shape. I am soooo happy with the way it turned out! Normally altering things isn't really my thing, but I really had to give it a go after seeing the wonderfull creations of the DT. It turned out a little bit vintage. I always try that look, but it always fails. Now I didn't try and it turned out great. What an irony!

With this challenge, I'm entering the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge 'Sugar and spice and everything nice!'. It's a challenge to create something especially for girls. I don't know yet what I'm going to do with the box, but I allready know that is only for girls . LOL

Materials:
Stamp: Magnolia
Papers: laundry line from My Mind's Eye
Flowers: prima's, e-line,... some from Action LOL
Ribbon: Also Action, 1 euro for 5 ribbons (all 1.5 metres). What a bargain!
Colour: Copic Markers
Extra's: some pearls from my stash

Going for it

Jeej.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was so inspired that I made another card, also a male card, with a stamp from Whiff of joy. Even though I used some flowers, I think the brads make it more manly and tuffer.
Also look at the fa-bu-lous close-up that I can make with my new camera now. Jippie, I'm a fan!

With this card I can also enter the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge, 'flower power'.

Christmas in March

I love the challenge blog Winter Wonderland. Here you can stock up for Christmas, so you don't have that 'last-minute-stress' at the end of the year.
This week their theme is 'Monochromatic Christmas'. I adore making card monochromatic and layering all those different shades of one colour. And I also love working with the colour 'blue' to do this.
I still had a coloured image (my very first take with the Copic Markers), so this card was made under 40 minutes (woohoe!).
I still had some scraps left, so I decided to decorate the inside of the card too.

Go check out their blog and the fabolous price they have to offer!

Cute Card Thursday

Oh my lord! It seemed to take me like... forever! to finish this card. I don't know why, but my papers didn't seem to match. It was the first time I used a metal charm and it wouldn't stick to the ribbon. I glued my ribbon to the wrong side. The card seemed to have 'something' missing...
I have the feeling that this is not my style of card-making for some odd reason, but when it WAS fi-nal-ly finished, I was pretty pleased with the result.
And using a metal charm for the first time, what'd you reckon? :)
With this card I can enter the 'Cute Card Thursday' challenge, since the challenge is to use SOMETHING metal on your card. Tadaa.

I used a Magnolia image. I had this idea in my head where the ribbon MUST be on the left side and this image fits very well, because the magniola image is facing the ribbon. Much better this way :)

Book of Spain

Off course... When you have a lot of flowers, you can achieve beautiful projects without having to look at a flower or two :)

I always seem to have a glueing problem. I lay down all my materials just perfect and when I want to glue it to my page, something always tend to shift, so I don't like it any more. Now I've found the perfect solution. I just took a picture of my unfinished, unglued lay-out. Then I removed all the items and glued them together one by one using my camera.
The first pictured is my unglued page, the second picture is my finished page as it stands beautifully in my scrapbook.
Can you see the difference?

With this page I'm entering the Practical Scrappers contest too, where the theme is 'flowers'. I think there will be a lot of entries. Who doesn't love flowers?
You can't see it really well, but in the picture my friend is giving a flower to the other friend, so another flower used. LOL.

Book of Spain - Creative scrappers challenge

Oh my lord! I'm in love. Completely, utterly, head over heels in love. Yes, with my boyfriend, but also at this lay-out, based on a sketch from
Creative Scrappers. I used so many new techniques and the page is just such an eye-catcher. It's great!
First I took two pictures, but they didn't fit my page, so I cut them apart and putted them together. More people shouldn't be so afraid to cut in their pictures. You might be surprised at the originallity of your page.
Then I found some painting bottles tucked away in a dark corner. I decided to experiment with it and it gives the title so much more caracter!
I bought something to make great stitching. It's the first time I've used it, but then again... I think I should do it more often.
I've ripped, curled, teared,... I think of used almost every technique (except embossing LOL) for my papers around the picture. I love the way it gives the picture deapth.
Then I've used the 'ribbon tied with ribbon' method again. I just love the way you decorate your flowers and your pages with this technique.

Thanks for looking at my huge post today. But sometimes when you are happy with something, you just have to let the world know, don't you think.

Travel - A spoon full of sugar

Finally I made an other lay-out!! For the challenge of 'A spoon full of sugar' there's a theme named 'Travel'. Allthough they are formost a card making site, you can enter other projects too. Wasn't that convenient? The theme fits my lo perfectly.
Now the story about the lo:
After an exhausting week at Spain we found out that our plain had been delayed for four (yes four!!) hours. Why? Hit by a bird... Because it was really late (like one o'clock at night) and we had just slept for about three hours the night before, we decided to get as comfortable as we could get on the chairs at the airport so we could finally get some sleep. So here's the result. You see my flighttickets at the upper right corner? I don't think you could get more into the Travel-theme, don't you think?

Products:
Paper: cardstock, DCMV
Embellies: cardstock letters, cardboard flower all the way from America given to me by a friend, butterflies from HEMA and a carnaval attribute, foam letters, airplane tickets
Flowers: Prima Flowers (like: what else?) and flowers from HEMA
Stamp: NONE (yes, I'm as surprised as you are ;-))

Truly Scrumptious Challenge

For the challenge of Truly Scruptious we were challenged (otherwise it wouldn't be a challenge, now would it) to make something different than a card. Because I was always looking for the perfect jewelrybox, but never could find it, I decided to make one myself.

Products:
Paper: DCMV, Taj Mahal
Embellies: glass mirror, letter stickers

Challenge friday sketchers

This is my take on the sketch for friday sketchers. I'm sorry for the bad quality but it seems I can't get my cards on my blog any other way than taking pictures with my camera. The thing is really old and I really need a new one :-).
I'm into stitching lately and I stitched the buttons onto my card.

Products:
Paper: Taj Mahal
Stamp: euuuhm good question, need to look that up.
Embellies: ribbon, buttons
Flowers: Prima flowers

Some new challenges

Aha!
Hier gaan we:
1. Sketch saturday.
2. A spoon full of sugar. Ow, natuurlijk. Je wilt weten wat de opdracht was? Hier moesten we swirls gebruiken.

Aha! Here I am again. Although I have an acute problem of too little sleep, I managed to put myself at my desk to make another Christmas card, that can enter in ... yes, you're reading it wright.. three (!) challenges!
1. Sketch saturday. Fab sketch, linked with a fab prize! I finally got my purple cow out of my drawers again (nearly forgot I even had them!). I made a little mistake by turning over the paper and then cutting it like the sketch, so I had to reverse the sketch, but you're allowed to do that so no prob there.
2. A spoon full of sugar. Again, fab prize (two stamps and some ornaments!) for a fab challenge, that was to use swirls. In my stamp there are a couple of swirls. Not too much and not too big, but hey.. swirl is swirl, right?
3. Saturday challenge. First time I enter this challenge, but over there the challenge is: dots and stripes. Well, striped paper on the right, check. Dots: on the flower: check. So I'm ok for this one too..
Never thought I would be able to manage three challenges with just one card :)

Papertake weekly challenge

It's the birthday of a friend of mine soon and I know she likes purple a lot! That's why I made this card in different shades of purple.
This card fits perfect for the papertake weekly challenge, where you can choose from a colour combo you can pick yourself, the colours beeing 'pink, black, white, yellow, green, grey and lilac.'

Papers: cardstock
Stamp: Magnolia
Flowers: Prisma flowers (I think)
Embellies: eyelets, ribbon

double challenge

This card is ready to be sent in for two challenges:
1. Papertake weekly challenge, where they challenged us to use our 'favourite things'. Not that hard for me. I used my favourite colour (dûh, which colour should it be?), combined with my favourite stamp.
2. Friday Sketchers, where we had to use a sketch. I love sketches, so yet again, not that hard for me.
Because I got the idea I was always doing the same thing with my cards, I've set a challenge for myself as wel and this was: not to use any dessinpapier. I got inspiration from a book with scrapbook projects that was lying around for quite some time now. I used the book to roll the surroundings from the matted photo and I scraped the edges of the stamp. I finally sued a part of my card. This was all really fun to work with and I will do this again some time soon!
It's only a bit of a shame that the card is a bit dark in the picture... In real life the colours are more light and bright.. Ow well..

Just birthday and christmas cards

Eindelijk!!! Haha!

Finally!!! This card was lying at my desk waiting to get scanned almost a week now. It's been such hot weather lately that I reaaaally didn't feel like doing it. LOL.
I made this card for the challenge blog 'Just Christmas and birthday cards', where there's a (circle)sketch that had to be followed.
Allthough it looks really easy and I'm the proud owner of a circle cutter, it wasn't that easy to match all those circles making it looking complete.
I'm scanning it in now and putting it to my blog, before the competition is closed :)

Blue Winter Wishes

Het thema is: 'blue and every shade of it'.

This is the card I made for 'Winter Wonderland'. The theme is: 'blue and every shade of it'. Allthough I made the most of my Christmas cards in the colours green and red, I like the colour blue so much more (maybe because it's my favourite colour hehe). To cheer things up, I coloured a piece of the head with Stickles and I added a little bit of 'bling' to the buttons.
Because I'm totally addicted to decorating the inside of my cards right now, and I had a whole bunch of scraps let, I couldn't be stopped.
At the same time I made another (blue) card, but I'm still finishing this. Pictures will be posted later on.
