Congratulations!

Some wonderfull news! People I know just had a baby boy, Kenzo.
I couldn't let this moment pass without making a card, so here's my take on it.

Have you noticed that I didn't use any flowers here?

I couldn't pass up the chance of decorating the inside with my new toy: shrinkpaper. I just love it!

With this card I used the sketch from Double Dutch, so I can enter this challenge

WOYWW - Work in progress

Hi!

Celebrations everywhere for the first year anniversary of What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday. No clue what I'm talk
ing about? Pop over to Julia Dunnit who was the inventor of this great .. euhm... invention. LOL
She asked us to make something especially for the celebration, but I've only found out about this blog one week ago, so didn't had the time to make something. I almost didn't post, because my blog was looking EXACTLY the same as last week but then...
I came up with a great idea that turned out no
t using my great idea, but became a card instead. SO... this is a 'happy birthday-card' to WOYWW. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
And here are the pictures from my 'work in progress' workdesk as I was becoming very creative.

And here you can find my desk from another corner.

Last week a lot of people suggested that I decorated the drawers myself. Actually, I didn't! My mother did it! We have had this drawers for as long as I can remember. It stood in our bathroom and when we moved I kind of begged my mom if I could get it. She wasn't planning on doing anything with them, so I got them. Yay!

I also thought it would be nice to show you my flowers/buttons that are not too far away from me when I'm crafting. This is not all of it, but you'll have to come back next week to be able to see what other secrets I still have got stored in my craftroom/bedroom :)

And off course here's a picture of my completed work and now my desk looks really tidy again. (yeah, can you believe it? I have to keep up my 'tidy'-status now hm? :-) )

Materials!

Stamp ~Whiff of joy (yes, the same as last post, I was planning something totally different LOL)
Flowers ~ e-line and ... ?
Embellies ~ Whiff of joy, buttons
Punches ~ leafs (Nellie Snellen)/butterflies

What's on your workdesk Wednesday?

Hellow!
I've found a great new blog, where you are asked to take a picture of your workdesk on wednesday. It's great to look at all those people who are running their creative minds.
This week, I've decided to take part as well. I worked on a card yesterday and this is how my desk still looks after finishing my card.

This desk actually stands in my bedroom. I still live with my parents, so I can use my bedroom as a scraproom too.
It kinda looks tidy haha. The box on the right side with the blue lid is where I store my copics. The desks with all the drawers (looks like those hands are waving at you guys, hellow :-)) are not only for my scrapbooking supplies, allthough it be good space haha. But since I'm a girl, there are much things for my hair maintenance as well. LOL.

And off course I have to show you what I've done with all the papers that are laying on my desk...

So this is the card I made. And with this card I can enter a few challenges too. Who's multi-tasking now :)
I've tried something different to colour the dress of the dear princess. At first I didn't like it, but I didn't dislike it as well. So I decided to give it a go and glue it on my card and now I think it looks rather fine. Sometimes things come together hm...

I hope you've enjoyed looking!

Let's celebrate!

At Whiff of joy they are looking for some new guest designers.
Besides the fact that these stamps are yummy gorgeous and you just got to have them, this is one of the reasons why I first started buying them... to be able to enter a guest designer contest!
Every 16th of the second month Katharina hosts this and this isn't the first time I'm entering :-). I hope to be part of this amazing team someday so I putted my bestest coloring hat on and decided to give a go at her colour challenge:
red, orange and one additional colour (I choose brown).
The backing paper looks a bit pink, but I can assure you that it is red. Strange...
So, here we go.
To celebrate her design team call I choose for Celebrating Henry Mouse. I think he holds on to a yummy strawberry or cherry cupcake. I like it so much that he almost falls over being the cake so heavy, but if I saw something that nice I wouldn't let it go either LOL.
Click on my blinkie to take you to everything that Katharina has to offer.

Ingredients:
Paper: MME, cardstock,...
Stamp: Henry Mouse by Whiff of Joy
Punch: my new Martha Stewart (been drooling on that thing for about two months now *hysterical laugh*)
Flowers: Prima's and other stuff, no idea what :)
Colour medium: Copic markers
Extra: leaves, rosebuds and buttons

Some new challenges

Today I'm having a day off from work. So this means... The perfect time for crafting and there were a few challenges where I wanted to get my hands on.

CHALLENGES:
Cupcake Craft Challenges - Buttons
Creative Card Crew - Sketch
Winter Wonderland - Cute Creatures; isn't that Henry Mouse the cutest just holding on to his hot chocolate?

Wish me luck :-)

Running behind

This is the card I made for a friend's birthday with my new Whiff of joy stamp.
I used to wander around blogs (oké, I still do) and always think: wauw, they almost never use the same stamp on their cards. Now I realize that it's a problem. I have so many stamps that I NEED and WANT to use every one of them, ending up with almost every card another stamp. Haha, it really is a luxury problem. Ow well, I keep buying stamps although I always say 'now I have enough' after every order or buy. Damned stores, stop making those incredibly cute stamps I just HAVE to have!! LOL (just kiddin :))
Without any further ado... Here's the birthday card:

Mother's day

Mother's day is approaching soon...
When I let my mother see the other box I made, she immediately asked if I could make one for her (oké, she practically demanded one), so I started crafting, since I had one box left.
I don't know for what she is going to use it, but I hope she will like it :)

This box is great for the 3D-challenge over at 'A spoon full of sugar'.
You can win a beautiful stamp and you can take a glance at all the wonderfull creations, because they are using InLink (I love this more than Mr. Linky where just the name appears).
Go check it out!

Materials:
Stamp: Whiff of joy
Papers: MME - Laundry Line
Flowers: Prima's, e-line, rose buds (?) and some leafs, I think they are Prima's as well
Charms: Whiff of joy
Some buttons

Happy birthday!

My dad is celebrating his fifthiest birthday. On this occasion I made a birthday card fit for him. I used every party mouse from Whiff of Joy that I could imagine that was perfect for this.
I used a tutorial from the weblog of Whiff of Joy, a three window card or how do you call it :)
With this challenge I can enter the blog 'A spoon full of sugar' where the theme is 'Happy birthday'!
The card stands proudly in the living room right now :)

Crafting supplies:
Paper: Some MME, some things from a cardstock I really can't remember the name :)
Stamps: Henry Mouse from Whiff of Joy
Extra: ribbon to hold the card together and cardstock numbers

Double Dutch - A sketch

And here it is... Another card for another challenge. I'm still hoping to win one of them one day... Ow well, keep creating. I've got a whole lifetime in front of me :)

This one is for the Double Dutch Challenge. It was a hard one. You had to follow a sketch (which I loved) and it HAD to be a ROUND card. I'm not a huge fan of round cards, but now that I've discovered easel cards... It's great to use another shape. So... Mission accomplished :-)

The card is a bit small... I putted everything together to find out that no magnolia stamp would fit. But have no fear... Whiff of joy is here! If you place an order over €50, you get a free unique stamp. Was I glad that I've got this one. It suits my card so well.

A girly girly pic of my roses and pearls. I love those little rose buds!

Thanks for visiting!

Materials:
Stamp: whiff of joy
Paper: MME, cardstock, DCMV
Flowers: stash, e-line
Extra: pearls from my stash
Colours: Copics

Going for it

Jeej. Ik ben fan!

Met deze kaart kan ik ook meedoen aan de challenge 'flower power' van de Stamptacular Sunday Challenge.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was so inspired that I made another card, also a male card, with a stamp from Whiff of joy. Even though I used some flowers, I think the brads make it more manly and tuffer.
Also look at the fa-bu-lous close-up that I can make with my new camera now. Jippie, I'm a fan!

With this card I can also enter the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge, 'flower power'.

Need inspiration?

Whiff of joy

I love the whiff of joy stamps. And now, Katharina is hosting a guest designer spot. I thought, what the heck, why not? Go to her website to check out the details. You needed to follow the recipe of: - one button - one ribbon - two designer papers - one cardstock With this challenge, I decided to give a go at an easel card. I'm sooo gonna make these things again. They are so much fun!

It's a bit hard to see, but I also used the glazing technique from the Wiff of Joy tutorial blog. What was the result surprising! I loved to see the embossing powder melt away under my heat tool. mmmmm. Hehe.
I couldn't have enough of it, so embossed the text stamp as well.

More Christmas in March

Like I said... I love playing with blue colours. When I finished my first card, I just added another piece of paper and voila... My new card came alive.
Again... I still had a coloured image lying around, so two cards finished under one hour. You got to love that. And it's a great way to use up images you allready stamped. I know it's hard for some (who doesn't love the smell of the stamps, choosing a fitted stamp and the way the inks colour when you stamp your image on your paper LOL).
It only took me a while to cut out the paper, so I could use the piece of blue paper in the background. It suits so well, don't you think?

And why not? I never used this stamp before, because I thought it was to big to make a beautifull card. But then a relative from a good friend of mine died and all of a sudden this stamp became a great inspiration with the shades of blue I still had lying on my desk.
It's not a typical mourning card, but hey... She's a young card and after the rain comes sunshine, right?

Christmas in March

I love the challenge blog Winter Wonderland. Here you can stock up for Christmas, so you don't have that 'last-minute-stress' at the end of the year.
This week their theme is 'Monochromatic Christmas'. I adore making card monochromatic and layering all those different shades of one colour. And I also love working with the colour 'blue' to do this.
I still had a coloured image (my very first take with the Copic Markers), so this card was made under 40 minutes (woohoe!).
I still had some scraps left, so I decided to decorate the inside of the card too.

Go check out their blog and the fabolous price they have to offer!

Christmas Card

I stumbled upon a blog where this lady decorated her scrao lay-outs with two or three ribbons tied toghether with another ribbon.
This gave me the great idea to try it out for myself. I just adoooore this way of using ribbons. I'm sorry I didn't discover it earlier and that I didn't came up with the idea. Haha. This is why I love nosing around in the world of the wide web.
I used some stickles on the hat of Henry and decorated the cookie with some green gems.
Don't you just want to bite that cookie too?

If I keep up this pace, I will have some Christmas cards left after this year's Christmas is over. LOL

Christmas Cards

Making Christmas Cards while it is still snowing outside. It makes you get into the mood.
Don't mind the pink thingy on the bottom. It's a way to make my cards stay on my magnetic board. This way I can make better quality pictures.

I coloured my Whiff of joy stamp (I just adore all Henry Mouse stamps, I have a big collection of them) with my Copic Markers. Damn, it was difficult! But very amusing to do :)

I raffled the brown papers from a special stack that's called 'Chocolate stack'. Doesn't it just makes you melt away and have a great craving for chocolates? LOL. It's made especially so you can tear, sand, ... the paper so the core colour will appear.

Pretty in pink

Just some card that never got to my blog before.
I made it especially for a friend her birthday.

Double Dutch Challenge

Love is in the air... Everywhere I look around... At the 'Double Dutch challenge' they understood that Valentine is coming up, so they challenged us to make a Valentines card. Here's my take on it. It had to be perfect for a male and I think I can get away with this card :)
I decorated the inside too, and normally, it would have been on my blog but *peep* blogger won't let me upload it. Ow well, this suits too...

Papers: good question...
Stamp: Whiff of joy (henry with heart)
Extra: corner punch, ribbon, gem stones

Showcase

Not much text today, just some cards I've made and haven't had time to show them on my blog.
