Going for it
Jeej. Ik ben fan!
Met deze kaart kan ik ook meedoen aan de challenge 'flower power' van de Stamptacular Sunday Challenge.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was so inspired that I made another card, also a male card, with a stamp from Whiff of joy. Even though I used some flowers, I think the brads make it more manly and tuffer.
Also look at the fa-bu-lous close-up that I can make with my new camera now. Jippie, I'm a fan!
With this card I can also enter the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge, 'flower power'.

Need inspiration?

Book of Spain
I seem to have lost my mojo a little bit. Nevertheless, I started making a page about my 'book of spain' yesterday.
My book really needed finishing, because I'm going to London soon, so I can begin a new scrapbook :).
Now this one isn't finished yet, I just have a space issue... My book is filled LOL.
I started with a sketch from creative scrappers (sketch 94 for the people who want to take a look... just follow the blinkie on my blog) and started laying stuff all around.
You can't really see the sketch any more, but hey.. it's just meant for a head start, ain't it?
Allthough my mojo is a little bit missing, I'm really pleased with the outcome of my page.
There's a lot of white space for my style, but sometimes more is less.
I saw on a site somewhere that putting xxx-es on your lay-out really uses up your x-es from your alphabets, so offcourse I had to use this.
So what do you think?

Whiff of joy
I love the whiff of joy stamps. And now, Katharina is hosting a guest designer spot. I thought, what the heck, why not? Go to her website to check out the details. You needed to follow the recipe of: - one button - one ribbon - two designer papers - one cardstock With this challenge, I decided to give a go at an easel card. I'm sooo gonna make these things again. They are so much fun!
It's a bit hard to see, but I also used the glazing technique from the Wiff of Joy tutorial blog. What was the result surprising! I loved to see the embossing powder melt away under my heat tool. mmmmm. Hehe.
I couldn't have enough of it, so embossed the text stamp as well.

More Christmas in March
Like I said... I love playing with blue colours. When I finished my first card, I just added another piece of paper and voila... My new card came alive.
Again... I still had a coloured image lying around, so two cards finished under one hour. You got to love that. And it's a great way to use up images you allready stamped. I know it's hard for some (who doesn't love the smell of the stamps, choosing a fitted stamp and the way the inks colour when you stamp your image on your paper LOL).
It only took me a while to cut out the paper, so I could use the piece of blue paper in the background. It suits so well, don't you think?
And why not? I never used this stamp before, because I thought it was to big to make a beautifull card. But then a relative from a good friend of mine died and all of a sudden this stamp became a great inspiration with the shades of blue I still had lying on my desk.
It's not a typical mourning card, but hey... She's a young card and after the rain comes sunshine, right?

Christmas in March
I love the challenge blog Winter Wonderland. Here you can stock up for Christmas, so you don't have that 'last-minute-stress' at the end of the year.
This week their theme is 'Monochromatic Christmas'. I adore making card monochromatic and layering all those different shades of one colour. And I also love working with the colour 'blue' to do this.
I still had a coloured image (my very first take with the Copic Markers), so this card was made under 40 minutes (woohoe!).
I still had some scraps left, so I decided to decorate the inside of the card too.
Go check out their blog and the fabolous price they have to offer!
