Today it is wednesday again and you know what that means... yes yes, another fabulous challenge over at Whimsy! This week it is team A that was challenged to make a monochromatic card. I love those cards, everything in the same colour. It's not that hard isn't it?
To challenge myself a little bit more, I decided to make a monochromatic card in the colour white and I love how it turned out!
Above is a detail and below is the completed card... Check it out...
So here it is. A lot of creative thinking was involved here lol!
First I coloured the Lia Digi stamp with all of my grey Derwent colours. I kinda slipped while cutting the image, so decided to cut it out and stick it on top of another paper.
The edges were stamped with 'Old paper' Distress ink.
Some twine and rope around some separate pieces of paper.
I had a 'Made with love' heart lying around in my stash and thought it would be perfect. Some pins from Van Uytsel (big gardening center in Belgium), a flower long forgotten in my stash. A pearl, some ribbled cardstock (costs practically nothing!) and a piece of power embossed with an embossing folder and my Cuttlebug and done it was.
Please leave a comment to say what you think about it and go over at the Whimsy blog to have a go at the challenge! Even if you don't own a single Whimsy stamp (what? are you crazy or something?!) you can still participate to be able to win a fabulous prize!
Have a fab day and see you over at the Whimsy blog!
